If Palin wins Vice President, I am going to skip the kit and move to Canada.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the emergencies have gotten rather big nowadays.

Usually we have plenty of warning, at which time I’ll leave. If its one of those disasters for which there can be no previous warning, then its most likely big enough to kill me anyway. So why would I need to be prepared for it?

The only real preparation I would need is a prayer.

"Oh God, would You please forgive my *ss while I’m kissing it goodbye? Amen."

    Add-on:

    A thumbs down?

Are you one of those ones who in the 50’s actually thought that if the "Russkies" dropped an A-bomb on America, you could hide under your picnic blanket and survive?

Your silly little emergency preparedness kit is just Bush’s way of trying to convince you that, though you are constantly on the verge of death, he can provide ways for you to survive it.

If it comes, that kit ain’t going to do sh*t for you.

Yes, I have a BOB (Bug Out Bag). It’s a bag full of everything that you would need to survive for a period of 72 hours.

It contains food (MREs), water, water treatment pills, knives, compass, fire-making tools (matches, lighter, flint), signaling devices (flares, smoke grenade), firearm (shotgun) for hunting/self-defense, plenty of ammo, etc.

Might seem a little excessive, but it’s always better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
