#129 First Aid Kit – In the morning

Young swedish sisters Klara & Johanna Söderberg are First Aid Kit. The beautiful song they perform here is called “In the morning” and will be featured on their forthcoming album, to be released later this year.
Shot in eastern Paris (close to Père Lachaise cemetery) in february 2009.

Nothing better for …
Nothing better for me than to put labels aside and just take music for what it is. Definitily see the resembles with fleet foxes et al. BUT why should I care. They have great voice and great harmony. When I hear them, it goes from the earth to the heart. That’s how good they are and… that’s good enough for me.

Ha ha. San Francisco, these girls are not even 18 yet. In fact, one of them is 15. They actually happen to be extremely talented writers by the way. I would actually really love to see some of your and Frip’s material. Lol. I’m just going to say that I will just about bet you anything they do more with music than you. Most of the time people like to hear criticism from people who actually share interests and talent in a certain thing. Not from two random retards with nothing to do but talk shit.

Wow, they are truly amazing! They are MANY hit wonders, though that term is so generic. People who use the term “one hit wonders” are living a one-tracked mind. They view art as something to sell, more so, how can they be one hit wonders if they haven’t even come out with their first album yet (Out in Jan of 2010)? Also this band are awesome, good enough to be signed to Rabid Records which in my opinion shows they have more character and songwriting abilities than most bands around at the moment.
